Certainly the shock of its sudden sale to Hong Kong’s I.T Ltd. still reverberate around the industry, it is business as usual within the confine of A Bathing Ape. While the company’s runaway debts forced the sale of it at a steep discount of only $2.8 million dollars. It’s easy to forget the transaction also means an infusion of capital and resurgence to its former glory. In the meantime, BAPE will continue on its itinerary of product releases like the collaborative DW-6900 watch with Casio G-Shock. Nearly identical in functions with the DW-6900 released in 2009, the new edition features a simpler, matte black casing with black dial face. Perhaps a reflection of recent events? Measurements of time and date are represented by a reverse LCD display of red digits on black background. Imprinted with “BAPE’ in white letterings and “GO! APE” rally cry, plus, the label ubiquitous motto, “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape” on the band. Limited to only 1000 units around the globe, the watch will be available now at the online store with a subsequent release this morning at its BAPE New York store in SoHo.2

A simple plug-and-play module, BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S can be attached to pre-existing powerplant, adding 55 pS (54 bhp/40.5 kW) to the stock version.  Final tally, a total of 313 PS (308 bhp/230 kW). Furthermore, the control unit prepares the car to meet the Euro VI exhaust emission standard, scheduled to be in effect 2014, with the goal of cutting emission by 30 percent.
